Here are some testimonials about our programming
“The improvisation workshop held in class with my grade 9 students had a profound impact on their confidence, their ability to take calculated risks, and their ability to support each other. Resilience is something that students tend to struggle with a lot lately, and experiences like this do more than just fulfill curriculum expectations as set by the board of education. The skill and talent of the improv team allowed our students to push themselves out of their comfort zone so as to become more resilient, where they leave their technology aside, and really work towards developing skills required of them moving forward in both their educational and professional lives. These experiences are crucial for these reasons, and the ability to take part free of charge through the grant opportunity makes this equitable and achievable for all students.”

"The Knights in the Classroom was an exceptional learning experience for our grades 3-5 students. The knowledge that students gained from their visit went far beyond what could have been learned from inside the classroom. The Knights had students engage in real life, hands on experiences that had them excited from the start of the day straight through to the end. The kids participated in everything from art to ancient games, singing to drama performances. And the best part? It was all curriculum based and perfectly geared to our students! Having a chance to see, feel, actively participate and immerse themselves in the learning for the day was beyond any field trip we could have taken them on. When we asked kids for feedback at the end of the day, they were all smiles, telling us all of the facts that they had learned that day. We are already hopeful for a booking again next year. We will be telling everyone about this fantastic, curriculum based, super exciting learning experience. Thank you Knights in the Classroom!"

"Yesterday, Tammy, Matt, Peter and Andrea came to EDHS to host a drama workshop for our Grade 8 students. This workshop ran smoothly, included everyone with all abilities, and facilitated participation on a variety of levels. This workshop encouraged students to think outside the box and step outside their comfort zone in a safe and controlled environment. Further, students were provided with a chance to interact with dramatic elements and connect with each other in new and engaging ways. Even some of our shyest students found themselves on the stage performing in front of their peers! It was an experience that I’m sure they won’t soon forget.
I would highly recommend this group to any school. We appreciate the time that was put into such a dynamic workshop, the knowledge that the team had, and the overall positive experience for students and staff."

"It was a pleasure to have the Knights in the Classroom at Featherston Drive. They engaged our students and staff in drumming, dance, painting, and puppetry! Each workshop integrated one of our regular steam classrooms with one of our classrooms for students with Autism. The instructors accommodated the diverse needs of our students and kept the focus on fun and learning. Thank you for an incredible day!"

"I have had the great pleasure of working with the Canadian Improv Showcase in a number of different capacities: both corporate and public. My family & I have attended several performances and loved every minute of it! Corporately they provide workshops and performances that are entertaining, full of merit and safe for the office. I can't recommend them enough!"

"The Knights in the Classroom make history come alive! This year we learned about historical siege weapons, and Matthew and his team were fantastic. The presentation was engaging and exciting, and the kids worked together with high energy to build cardboard box walls against an invading catapult. They strategized and problem-solved using math and physics to create successful walls. When the catapult finally knocked down a wall, the entire crowd started applauding and cheering. The presentation was very interactive, and many kids asked questions or gave suggestions and the presenters were wonderful at responding and informing. We've enjoyed performances from the Knights in the Classroom for two years, and we'd love to have them return next year. Their presentations are one-of-a-kind!"
